ReCollected Custom Jewelry Review

Last month, I was given the opportunity to work with a local artist who made a custom piece of jewelry for me. Doesn't that just sound posh? I love it. And when I opened the package, I was not disappointed.

Tabitha is the owner of ReCollected Pieces. She is based here in Portland, Oregon, but ships worldwide.

She used photos of my kids to make a double sided pendant in the shape and metal of my choice. I don't wear a lot of gold jewelry, but I thought it would go well with the sun washed effect in the pictures I chose. I'm so happy with how it turned out. N and I opened this together and we were both very excited about the finished product. I love showing off my kids anyway, and this is just one more option for me!

I love how Tabitha took the time to put together a unique piece that reflects my style and allows me a fun new way to show off my kids. It also allows me a way to keep them close even when they aren't.

The pendant and chain feel like a great quality. It's durable enough that I can let N wear it at times when she thinks her picture on the pendant means it actually belongs to her. (She's two. This happens pretty regularly).

Both kids were pretty excited to see their pictures in the pendant, and it is a piece I will love wearing for quite a while.

Tabitha really is wonderful to work with. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and particularly in making a piece that will be special for you. Normal production time usually takes about one week to complete then mail. Pendants start at just $20, and would make an awesome Mother's Day gift (speaking as a mom).

You can customize the shape, the color, the accents. I love the chain with the branch - I have no idea why, but I really do. And you don't have to choose a double sided pendant (although I LOVE mine). You can choose single sided pendants, photo bracelets, ornaments, etc. You're not even limited to photos of your kids, of course - you can use their artwork, a picture of your pets, whatever. There are just so many options, and she is so easy to work with!
