My BMI at 4 Weeks

Slow and steady wins the race, and slow, steady weight-loss keeps it off, right?

I'm down another 1-1/2 pounds since last week! Now I'm trying to decide on a treat for reaching my first 10lbs weight loss goal. It should be coming up soon at this rate. Any suggestions?

As for running. I'm still loving it (I'm sure I always will). I'm up to about 5-5-1/2 miles each time I head out. Except for last week, at my mother-in-law's. I was trying to remember a route she'd shown me a few years ago that was supposed to be around 3 or 4 miles. Needless to say, I got lost, missed a few turns, and ended up with a new PR for distance. 7.47 miles. When you are running out in the country and have no idea where you are, and you know if you stop running it means it will take even longer to get back to your baby... you just keep going. I am so impressed with myself, but I'll be honest - I don't plan to make 7.5 miles a routine run until I can get that done in under an hour! It took me nearly an hour and forty minutes.

I burned over 1000 calories on that run, but I just can't justify taking that much time out for a run unless I'm covering at least 15k. Maybe that's just the weird way my mind works.

On a side note: My spark has made it back to the top 7! Let's hope it stays there. Voting continues until April 9th with the first 7 keynote speakers being announced the next day. Thank you for all the support so far. I submitted my application figuring it was a long shot. Now let's hope "Mama Hits Pavement" manages to make it on the official list!

And now I'm off to celebrate Easter weekend with the family. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Doing any travelling?
